Working on impact-focused projects is core to our existence, so when Kele approached us to craft a brand identity and mobile app echoing their mission of powering financial freedom in Africa, partnering with them was a no-brainer.
Kele aims to stand out in Nigeria's bustling digital wallet scene, so it needed an identity and product experience that would declare to every Nigerian, 'Delete the 25 other fintech apps on your phone. Kele is all you need.
First, we delved deep into discussions with the Kele team to understand what experiences they prioritised most in delivering financial inclusion. We also wanted to understand the values that drove their passion and their plans for eventually bridging the financial divide.
A key determinant of our strategy was that Kele wanted to build an application that was easy for anyone to use, regardless of age or level of education. Accessibility and convenience were our guiding compass.
Reimagining the Wallet
One of Kele’s core offerings inspired us: “Digital Wallet for Seamless Payment Experiences.” Inspired by this, we designed a logo inspired by an open wallet and the letter ‘K,’ making their commitment to seamlessness and convenience a key part of their brand.
We also used bright colours—blues, greens, and oranges—to help Kele’s brand be perceived as fun, approachable, and perfect for daily use.
Smooth and Seamless Transactions
The visual language for Kele’s brand and app will help keep things fresh and simple for the everyday man. For the mobile app, we optimised for scalability, simplicity, convenience, security, and speed—all of which are core to achieving delightful user experiences.
Kele's vision to spearhead financial inclusivity has taken a concrete shape post-launch, signaling the dawn of a new era in the Nigerian fintech landscape. Users have expressed appreciation for Kele's tangible difference in their daily transactions, from P2P transfers to utility payments, all within a few taps on their mobile devices.
